Four dead in Gulmi tractor mishap
GULMI: At least four persons died and one was injured when a goods-laden tractor met with an accident at Hastichaur VDC-3 in Gulmi district on Tuesday .
The vehicle was heading to Hastichaur from the district headquarters, Tamghas.
The District Police Office, Gulmi, informed that Baikuntha Bahadur Mukhiya (19), Tirtha Bahadur Khatri (65), Chandra Bahadur Kunwar (58) and Juddha Mukhiya (26) of Hastichaur VDC died in the accident after the tractor (Lu 2 Ta 4831) fell some 500 metres off the road.
The injured is receiving treatment at the District Hospital, Tamghas. His identity is yet to be ascertained.
According to the police, due to tough geographical terrain of the incident site, locals and police personnel are facing hardships in rescue operations.
Police said that reasons behind the incident are not confirmed yet.
