Four fake voters held in Dhankuta
Dhankuta, June 28
At least four persons were held during the second phase of civic polls in various parts of the country today.
Two persons were detained for using fake identity at Janashikshya Sadan Primary School voting centre in Dhankuta. The two were held while they were trying to cast their ballots showing the identity cards of some other persons, informed Nagendra Kalakheti, the returning officer at the polling station.
Likewise, a person named Purushottam Acharya, 29, was held at Kanya Campus polling centre in Biratnagar for using another person’s voter identity card. ,
In another similar incident, Rahat Ali was arrested from Dipendra Primary School voting centre in Gadhawa Rural Municipality. He was attempting to vote in his brother Ahmed Ali’s name.
