Four held for illegal networking business in Bardiya

BARDIYA: Bardiya Police have arrested four persons for defrauding people through an illegal networking scheme from the district.

During a press meet organised on Saturday, police disclosed Bibek Tharu of Guliya Municipality-4, Prajaya Chaudhary also known as Himal of Guliya-5, Deepak Chaudhary of Barbardiya Municipality-7, and Aasha Tharu of Rajapur Municipality-3, for defrauding people through a networking scheme.

Superintendent of Police Rajeshnath Bastola, Chief at Bardiya District Police Office, informed that the arrestees had been operating the fraudulent activities through a multinational company - Oriens Global Marketing Pvt Ltd. He further added that the alleged frauds were arrested after five locals jointly filed first-person information (FIR) against them.

According to the police, Oriens Global Marketing Pvt Ltd is a multinational company active in Sigapore, Phillipines, United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and Bhutan.

Bardiaya police have started to take strict action against networking scheme after multiple reports of fradulent activities were filed, informed SP Bastola, adding that the victims of the scheme to file reports at police.
