NAWALPARASI: Police in Eastern Nawalparasi have arrested four persons in possession of a large quantity of controlled pharmaceutical drugs. All four arrestees were made public on Tuesday along with the banned drugs.

The police said that two buyers and two purchasers of the narcotics were arrested from Phulbari Chok at Chormara in Madhyabindu Municipality-8.

Those arrested are Ajit Chaudhary (27) and Nitesh Singh Chaudhary (21) of West Nawalparasi, Sumit Poudel (29) and Balram Mahato (32) of East Nawalparasi.

Deputy Superintendent of Police of Nawalpur, Laldhwaj Subedi, said the police seized a large amount of Phenergan, Nuphorin and Diazepam from the four racketeers.

Furthermore, it has been learnt that police seized six mobile phones, two motorcycles and cash from them.
