Four killed, six injured in road accidents

BIRATNAGAR; At least four persons were killed and six others injured in separate road accidents in Morang in two days. Two Indian nationals were killed yesterday night in a road accident in Jogbani road section in Biratnagar. The dead are Biltu Shah and Ajay Chaudhari.

According to District Police office Morang, the accident took place near Salt Trading Office in Biratnagar-18 when a Biratnagar bound Maruti van collided with a truck en route to Jogbani. Van driver Biltu shah died on the spot while another in the van, Ajay Chaudhari died while undergoing treatment at Neuro Hospital in Biratnagar.

Meanwhile, One Ranjan Dulal was killed in an accident that took place in Belbari road section along the East-West Highway today. Five others were injured. Dulal died on the spot when a van coming from Jhapa collided with a truck that was parked. The five injured are undergoing treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), Dharan.

In another accident at Mangalbare in Urlabari along the East-West Highway, one Roshan Mahara was killed. The accident took place when a commuter bus hit a motorcycle.

Critically injured pillion rider Prashanta Tamang is undergoing treatment at BPKIHS, Dharan, police said.
