KATHMANDU: A four-year-old child died on the spot after being hit by a tractor in Annapurna Rural Municipality-9 of Myagdi district on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Semiyel, son of local Shiva Prasad Khorja.

According to police, the incident occurred when the tractor (Ga 1 Ta 2938) hit Semiyel in Ramche at 5:45 pm yesterday, killing him.

Meanwhile, the Ghodepani-based Area Police Office has impounded the tractor and detained its driver for further investigation, said police.
