Fresh agitation will be against govt: Mahato
Birgunj, April 6
Sadbhawana Party Chairman Rajendra Mahato today said that a fresh agitation would be centred against the government.
Speaking at a programme organised by his party in Birgunj, Mahato warned of shutting down Singha Durbar if the government did not fulfil their demands within this month.
“The next protest will not affect everyday life of people. Rather, it will focus on paralysing the government and its service delivery system,” Mahato said. He pledged to take people from the hills into confidence to make their agitation decisive this time around.
Mahato held that their agitation would not come to a halt unless their demands were met. He warned of waging a stern agitation from the Nepali New Year if their demands were not addressed within this month. “If the government has not learned a lesson from the Tarai agitation, we shall teach it something new by paralysing the highways and Singha Durbar,” he warned.
