Fresh earthquake of 4.1 jolts Taplejung

KATHMANDU: A fresh earthquake of local magnitude 4.1 jolted the north-eastern part of the country at 11:11 on Thursday night.

According to the National Seismological Centre, the earthquake had its epicentre near Lelep of Taplejung district. Its latitude and longitude were recorded as 27.75 °N and 88.04 °E.

The quake was recorded 17 days after a mild earthquake of local magnitude of 4.4 was recorded in Humla on March 7.
