FSU sounds call for decisive stir

Nepalgunj, May 28:
People from different walks of life, at an interaction here today, urged the political parties to launch a decisive agitation to restore democracy. At the interaction organised by Free Student Union at Mahendra Multiple Campus, Nepalgunj, local intellectuals and representatives of the civil society also expressed solidarity with the agitation launched by the seven-party alliance. “It is high time for the agitating parties to go on the path of a decisive agitation,” said Shalikram Sapkota, a lawyer. The member of the Nepal Bar Association’s appellate court unit, Suresh Poudel, said that the parties should not yield or succumb to the give in to the palace’s pressure tactics as they have been doing in the past. Ratna Khatry, the president of the FSU and a member of ANNFSU central secretariat, suggested the parties to seriously move ahead with the agitation leaving aside all minor differences. Central member of the NGO Federation, Gopalnath Yogi, said the agitation should however be based on realities.
