Fuel supply halted

DHANGADI: Petroleum  products have not been imported to the far-west region for a week after   fuel ran out at Banathara depot of Indian Oil Corporation.

Spokesperson  Shiva Raj Bhandari of Nepal Oil Corporation Regional Office Dhangadi  said fuel has not entered the area from Thursday.

As many as 38 fuel  tankers were stranded in Banathara, India. It is said fuel supply had  been eased in the area compared to other parts of the country.

Nepal Oil  Corporation Regional Office, Dhangadi said that as many as three lakh  to four lakh litres diesel, 70,000 to one lakh litres petrol and 50,000  litres of kerosene is consumed in the region on a daily basis.
