HETAUDA: Makawanpur Police arrested a fugitive from Manahari Bazaar in Makawanpur on Saturday. The arrested has been identified as Raju Waiba, 37, of Manahari VDC. Waiba had been absconding since November 5, 2014 after his involvement in smuggling marijuana. DSP Sishu Sharma said that further investigation into the case had begun. A team of smugglers including Waiba was smuggling 250 kg marijuana to India in a truck on the same day. A police team had taken the truck and its driver under control, but the smugglers had fled the scene.
