MORANG: A fugitive, who was convicted in a narcotics case, was arrested on Sunday after being on the run for more than a year.

The convict has been identified as Pradeep Kurmi of Biratnagar–7, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Krishna Prasad Pangeni. Acting on a tip off, Kurmi was arrested by a regional investigative team from his residence, police said.

Kurmi was sentenced with two-year jail term and slapped a fine of Rs 100,000 by the Biratnagar-based Appellate Court on June 17 last year.
