Gachhadar's MJF eschews 'one Madhes-one province' demand
BIRATNAGAR/ITAHARI: Deputy Prime Minister Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar said today that his party had quit the demand for one Madhes, one single province'.
Talking to journalists at Biratnagar airport, he said, "The Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum (Loktantrik) has become a democratic and national party now. It no more sticks to the demand of one Madhes as a single autonomous region."
Stating the his party has been established as the fourth big party in the country, Gachhadar, who is also the Minister for Physical Planning and Works, said, "It's high time we forgot the party limited to a certain part of the country and certain group of people. Our party is a national party now."
He said that he was not thinking to limit his party of belonging to certain castes and people.
Claiming that he would have 36 CA members in his party shortly, he said, "We opened the new party as nobody wanted to be ruled by Upendra Yadav." He accused that Yadav's MJF of dancing in the tune of Maoists. The DPM underscored the need of forming a national unity government to lead the peace process to a logical end and promulgating new constitution on time.
Talking to journalists in Sunsari's Bhaluwa today, he said that the issue of president row was already "expired". "Raising the issue of irrelevant topics and beginning agitation is only the foolhardiness of the Maoists," Gachhadar said adding, "In reality, the Maoists are talking about their own supremacy."
In another context, Gachhadar said the Vice President Paramananda Jha should be wise enough to follow the order of Supreme Court. "The vice president is the respectable person of country; he should be wise for what he should do after the direction of the court."
