CM Gurung meets China’s Hainan province governor
Pokhara, September 28
Gandaki province Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung today held a meeting with China’s Hainan province Governor Shen Xiaoming.
They held discussion on Gandaki province’s development possibility, plans and mutual cooperation.
Chief Attorney Rajendra Ghimire, who is accompanying Gurung’s visiting team, told The Himalayan Times that Governor Shen was positive about providing assistance for technical education and training, civil aviation, tourism, infrastructure, among others, to the provincial government.
According to Ghimire, Chief Minister Gurung has extended invitation to investors from Hainan to participate in the investment conference to be organised this fiscal in Pokhara.
The delegation led by Chief Minister Gurung also met Hainan College of Vocation and Technical Director and held discussion on technical and professional education, training and lab, curriculum development and teachers’ training.
Chief Minister Gurung is on a week-long China visit. He also held talks with entrepreneurs and investors from Hainan. He will return home on October 1.
Chief Minister Gurung is accompanied by General Secretary Lakshmiram Paudel, Province Policy and Planning Commission Vice-chair Giridhari Paudel and Chief Advocate Rajendra Ghimire.
