RAUTAHAT:  Gangapipara VDC of Rautahat district has been declared fully immunised.  The declaration was made amidst a programme at the VDC on Wednesday.

“As the village has met all necessary criteria mentioned in the  guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Population, the recognition was granted by following due process,” said District Health Chief Nawal  Kishor Jha.

The VDC has bagged the status after ensuring all  necessary vaccines are available at Gangapipara Primary Health centre  itself. Earlier, the locals of Gangapipara had to reach Gaur-based  District Health Office to get vaccination service. Jha further  described the declaration as part of a broad campaign to declare the  entire district fully immunised by mid-April. On the occasion, UN  Vaccination Programme Central Regional Office Hetauda Chief Dr Narendra  Jha urged the locals to routinely immunise their kids.
