Girl ineligible to sit for SLC exams kills self in Achham
ACHHAM: A girl here committed suicide for reportedly being failed to secure mandatory attendance to sit for the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examinations that started from Thursday.
Bindra Rawal (22) of Mangalsen Municipality-11 was barred from taking the exams as she failed to secure required attendance.
She was the student of Jupu-based Kalika Higher Secondary School.
As per the provision, 75 per cent class attendance of the total academic session was mandatory for any student to sit for the SLC exams.
Rawal, who had gone to India for general health checkup returned home recently to attend the exams, said the family source.
Police said the motive behind the incident is yet to be established.
The body has been sent to the District Hospital Accham for autopsy.
