KATHMANDU, JUNE 10

Youth leadership platform Glocal Teen Hero (GTH) is set to expand across South Asia in 2026, bringing together outstanding teenage changemakers from across the region under a single platform.

Organised by Glocal Private Limited and presented by the Golchha Group, the inaugural South Asia edition aims to identify and recognise young leaders from Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and other South Asian countries for their contributions in leadership, innovation and social impact.

The programme, themed "Empowering the Leaders of Today," will culminate in the selection of one overall winner, who will be honoured with the title of South Asian Glocal Teen Hero 2026.

Applications are open until July 25, 2026, with participants undergoing a multi-stage selection process, including application screening, national-level shortlisting, jury evaluation and regional competition.

Launched in Kathmandu in 2015, Glocal Teen Hero has evolved into a prominent youth recognition platform, honouring teenagers who demonstrate leadership and a commitment to positive social change beyond academic achievement.

The organisers said the expanded regional edition seeks to strengthen youth collaboration across South Asia and provide young leaders with greater opportunities for networking, recognition and impact.
