KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 25
Gold price in the domestic market surged sharply on Tuesday, rising by Rs 5,200 per tola, as the precious metal appears to be pushing toward the Rs 150,000-per-tola threshold and edging close to an all-time high.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, fine gold is being traded at Rs 247,900 per tola today, up from Rs 242,700 per tola on Monday. The market had witnessed a decline of Rs 1,900 per tola on Monday compared to Sunday's rate.
Silver prices also recorded a notable rise, climbing by Rs 85 per tola. The metal is trading at Rs 3,200 per tola on Tuesday, compared to Rs 3,115 per tola the previous day, the federation said.
