The gold price set a new record in the domestic market on Wednesday, increasing by Rs 2,000 per tola.
The yellow metal has been on an upward trend recently, hitting new highs despite some fluctuations. The domestic market price which is closely aligned with international market trends, reflects a significant increase in the international markets.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, fine gold is trading at Rs 149,800 per tola today, up from Rs 147,800 per tola on Tuesday. This marks the highest price ever recorded in the Nepali market.
The new Nepali month of Shrawan started with a significant increase in gold prices, having already risen by Rs 200 per tola on Monday. Tuesday saw another increase of Rs 900 per tola.
Similarly, Tejabi gold is set at Rs 149,100 per tola today, compared to Rs 147,100 per tola yesterday.
Meanwhile, silver prices have also seen an increase, trading at Rs 1,895 per tola today, up by Rs 20 from Rs 1,875 per tola on Tuesday.
