The gold price continued its upward trajectory, setting a new record in the domestic market with a Rs 1,000 per tola increase on Friday.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, fine gold is now being traded at Rs 145,000 per tola, up from Rs 144,000 per tola on Thursday.

After reaching a new high on June 4, the price of gold dropped by Rs 500 per tola on Wednesday. However, it rebounded strongly, gaining Rs 1,800 per tola on Thursday and an additional Rs 1,000 per tola today.

Similarly, Tejabi gold is being traded at Rs 144,300 per tola, up from Rs 143,300 per tola on Thursday.

The silver market also witnessed a substantial increase on Friday, rising by Rs 50 per tola to Rs 1,900 per tola, up from Rs 1,850 per tola on Thursday.
