Gorkha Earthquake's ML-4.2 aftershock recorded in Dolakha
KATHMANDU: The National Seismological Centre said it recorded a light aftershock of magnitude 4.2 with its epicentre in Dolakha district of central Nepal on Friday.
It was an aftershock of the magnitude-7.6 earthquake Gorkha Earthquake which had rattled the nation on April 25, 2015, according to the NSC.
The epicentre (27.65ºN and 86.13ºE) lies at north of the Jiri Khadichaur road, between Simpari and Mainapokhari.
The latest significant aftershock (of local magnitude 4.0 or above) was recorded in Sindhupalchok district on September 18.
The NSC has so far alerted members of the public about around 470 significant aftershocks since the devastating quake.
