Government offices yet to open in Rautahat
Rautahat, January 13
Government offices in Rautahat district have yet to open due to the bandh called by United Democratic Mdhesi Front for the last five months.
The shops and markets have been opened keeping in view the problems faced by locals for the last so many months in the plains.
The shops and markers in Gaur, Garuda, Katahariya, Bankul, among other markets of the district, have opened.
The protest programme has been eased by the front in coordination with stakeholders, workers, entrepreneurs and locals, among others, as the people have become fed up oft strikes and bandhs.
It is said that the life, which has been disrupted due to unwanted strikes, is gradually normalising in the district.
Vehicular movement and government offices have yet to resume though educational institutions, markets and financial institutions have opened.
All the government offices have been closed for the last five months though bandh enforcers have eased their agitation programme in the district.
It is said that locals have been facing problems for months after government offices shut down.
