DHANGADHI: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority has said two officials at the Revenue Investigation Department were caught red-handed while taking bribe from a service seeker in Aatariya of Kailali district on Monday.

The CIAA team deployed from the extended office in Kanchanpur arrested Rajendra Saud-Non-Gazetted Officer and Tika Ram Joshi-administrative assistant at Revenue Investigation Department at Aatariya in Kailali district.

Information Officer Khimanand Pathak at CIAA's extended office in Kanchanpur informed that the team headed by inspector Anil Kumar Upreti arrested the duo while taking Rs 45,000 kickback this afternoon.

Meanwhile, the duo have been kept at the CIAA office further investigation.
