Mobile camps to provide govt services

GORAKHA: Integrated mobile camps are to be run in all the three constituencies of the district in order to provide service to the quake survivors, especially to those who lost their important official documents including citizenship certificates.

The camps provide services including those of the District Administration Office, the Women and Children Office, the District Land Revenue Office and the District Survey Offices, according to CDO Narayan Prasad Bhatta.

The camps will be held within May, but the exact locations of the constituencies where the camps will be stationed are yet to be ascertained, Bhatta added.

Many people in the district had reportedly lost their official documents when their homes were buried in the earthquake. As a result, they have been deprived of the services provided by the government and other organisations to the quake survivors.

Meanwhile, the Gorakha Municipality today distributed clothes to the Kusunda families residing in Terhakilo of the district. The support, also including Rs. 5,000 cash for each as sewing expenses, was provided through the local development capital grant.
