Government urged to adopt three-pillar economic model

Entrepreneurs, including representatives of different organisations, have suggested to the government to adopt three-pillar economic model.
At a programme organised by the National Planning Commission in Pokhara today, private sector representatives stressed the need for the government to adopt three-pillar economic model for the development of the country.
Former chairman of Pokhara chapter of Chamber of Commerce and Industry Bishwa Shankar Palikhe said productivity would increase and employment opportunities would be generated if the people, private sector and cooperatives joined hands. “But the government has neglected to private sectors,” he said.
The National Planning Commission has started collecting suggestions on the concept paper for the upcoming 15th periodic plan in Gandaki Province.
Ministers of the provincial government, lawmakers of Gandaki Province and chiefs and deputy chiefs of the local levels participated in the discussion. The discussion was held among the entrepreneurs of private sectors today.
