Govt a failure: Rana
Itahari, October 1:
President of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party Pashupati SJB Rana said the Maoist-led government was meeting failures one after another.
Talking to The Himalayan Times in Inaruwa, where he arrived for distribution of relief for the Koshi flood victims today, he said Prime Minister Prachanda’s recent visit to the US and other countries was also irrelevant.
“Thirteen districts in the country have been reeling under starvation. People in the east and west are suffering from floods. The armed agitation has been continuing in the central and east Tarai. The problem of shortage of goods and soaring market prices is on the rise. Against these problems, how can one claim that the visit is a success?” Rana questioned.
Alleging the Prime Minister and ministers of abusing state’s coffer to visit abroad at a time when the nation is passing through problems, he said, “The government has failed to address Nepali people’s plight.”
Saying that the government loved foreign visits more than dealing with internal problems, he said, “The government should pay attention to the nation’s agonies, not the foreign visits.”
Rana warned that the peace process may be disrupted if the paramilitary forces continue the politics of arms.
He said the parties should dissolve forces like Young Communist League and Youth Force.
