Govt allows use of forest area for construction of Upper Trishuli 3B
KATHMANDU: The government has decided to allow the use of forest area for construction of the 37-megawatt Upper Trishuli 3B Hydropower Project.
A Cabinet meeting held at Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar took a decision to this effect, said Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Sher Bahadur Tamang.
A decision was also taken to provide an additional sum of Rs 70 million to the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies for food supply.
Similarly, the meeting agreed in principle to devise a bill related to work execution, supervision and coordination of Nepal Police and Provincial Police, and a bill related to formation, operation and terms and conditions of Armed Police Force.
It has also been agreed in principle to develop laws related to the establishment of Bidhusi Yogmaya University.
