Govt employees flout anti-graft body’s order
Kathmandu, January 6:
The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority today said that at least 350 civil servants failed to furnish their property details.
The anti-graft body also said that it would take action against the employees who defied its directive to furnish their property details. There is a provision to fine upto Rs 5,000 and take departmental actions against those government officials who do not submit their property details annually. The CIAA stated that officials from the assistant to the joint secretary level defied its order.
As per the Anti Graft Act 2002 and the CIAA Act 2002, employees, who do not furnish the property details, may face the punishment.
