Govt lawyers’ office sans lawyers

Sindhupalchowk, February 9 :

The Office of Government Attorney in Sindhupalchowk district was left lawyer-less after assistant district attorney general Madhav Prasad Ghimire left for Kathmandu this morning.

A group of journalists reached the office in course of reporting, only to find that Ghimire had already left after marking his presence in the daily attendance register.

A staffer in the office Surendra Prasad Shrestha said: “He left for Kathmandu at around 11 am, after marking his presence in the attendance register.” The other lawyers of the office and district attorney general Chiranjibi Parajuli are away in Rajbiraj in course of special official duty since December 14 last.

“I cannot say anything regarding this issue because it is a matter related to the district court,” said chief district officer (CDO) of Sindhupalchowk, Jiban Prasad Oli.
