KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 21

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has announced that the government has successfully reclaimed ownership of public land worth Rs 800 billion.

During his meeting with a delegation led by the Rastriya Prajatantra Party today, PM Dahal highlighted the recent court verdict regarding the Lalita Niwas land grab.

He emphasized that due to the government's initiatives, ownership of the Lalit Niwas area has been restored to the government. In the meeting, the delegation, led by party Chair Rajendra Lingden, acknowledged the government's "good initiatives" and urged him to further improve performance.

PM Dahal stressed that all political parties should express gratitude to the government for its actions and investigations into the fake Bhutanese refugee scam, Lalitawa Niwas land grab scam, and gold smuggling case.

"This verdict was possible because the incumbent government took serious steps regarding the fake Bhutanese refugee scam, Lalita Niwas land embezzlement, and gold smuggling scam. The government arrested the accused individuals in these scams and presented the files in court after concluding the investigations. Due to this, the court has issued a favorable verdict. Lalita Niwas's land worth Rs 800 billion has been returned to the ownership of the government," PM Dahal explained.

On a different note, the PM refused to comment on the Rastriya Prajatantra Party's (RPP) decision to take to the streets with its agenda and said, "May your struggle be peaceful. We are trying to conclude the peace process."

During the meeting, the RPP handed over a memorandum to the PM outlining the party's viewpoint.
