Govt to bear treatment costs
KATHMANDU: The government today decided to bear all treatment costs of senior musician and composer of Nepali national anthem Ambar Gurung, who has been undergoing treatment at Medanta Hospital in New Delhi, India, since January.

The 78-years old senior musician is suffering from multiple diseases, including diabetes and Parkinson’s.
Likewise, the government has decided to bear all treatment costs of Nepali Congress leader and former minister Narahari Acharya who is undergoing treatment at Neuro Hospital due to a brain stroke.
It also decided to provide treatment cost of Khagendra Nepali, Examination Controller, who also suffered from a brain haemorrhage while on the duty and is now undergoing treatment at Norvic International Hospital at Thapathali.
Meanwhile, the meeting pledged to complete the Chatara-Gaighat-Sindhuli-Hetauda section of the Mid-Hill-Highways as soon as possible.
The government also took decision to observe Journalism Day on May 6, the day when the country’s longest serving Gorkhapatra daily was launched in 1901 as a weekly newspaper.
