RAUTAHAT: Dashain, the greatest and longest festivals of Hindu Nepalis, has started from today.

People celebrate the festival by worshipping the goddess Durga as per Hindu rituals.

According to Binaya kumar Jha, Chairman of the Durga Temple at Matsari, sculptors from Madhubani India have been coming to Kaligard for the construction of the statue of goddess Durga.

Priest Basistha Narayan Jha of Matsari Durga temple said that the on-going protests in Tarai will not affect the Durga Puja in the district.
