KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader Kul Bahadur Gurung on Sunday thanked party President Sushil Koirala and Central Working Committee for fielding him as the party’s candidate for president. Gurung lost the presidential  election to CPN-UML Vice Chair Bidhya Devi Bhandari on Wednesday. Issuing a press statement, Gurung also thanked all lawmakers who voted for him in the Parliament. The NC leader congratulated newly elected President Bidhya Devi Bhandari and Vice President Nand Bahadur Pun and wished them a successful tenure. He said he would continue championing the party’s ideals.
