Head teachers from secondary schools in Kaski district have issued a 26-point pledge to improve quality of education in the district.

A meeting of the head teachers organised by District Education Office, Kaski, on Saturday made such a pledge.

The participating head teachers stressed the need to use information technology for the improvement of education.

The pledge includes keeping computers, laptops and smart boards active, managing one multimedia projector at each school and giving one laptop to each teacher, among others.

The meeting also decided to manage internet, multimedia projector, among other things, at the local schools.  The meeting further decided to open schools at 9:45 am and start classes from 10:00 am.

Other decisions made during the meeting include running classes till 4:00 pm on Fridays as well and reducing holidays, among others.
