KATHMANDU, MARCH 15

The Supreme Court of Nepal (SC) on Monday is continuing to hear writ petitions filed against Rabi Lamichhane, Chairperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), over money laundering and organized crime charges, after the case could not be completed on Sunday.

A division bench of Justices Saranga Subedi and Sunil Kumar Pokharel will continue hearing the petitions.

Earlier, a division bench of Justices Sapana Pradhan Malla and Shreekant Poudel had directed that the petitions be presented for hearing on Sunday.

Attorney General Sabita Bhandari had decided on January 14 to withdraw the case while it was under consideration in the SC. The writ petitions were filed challenging the Office of the Attorney General's decision to withdraw the case concerning organized crime and money laundering charges.

The petitions were submitted separately by Senior Advocate Dinesh Tripathi and advocates Yubaraj Paudel and Avash Regmi.
