KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 17
The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) has forecast generally cloudy conditions across the country today, with moderate rainfall expected in Bagmati and Lumbini provinces and the country's hilly regions. Isolated heavy downpours are likely in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Karnali provinces, as well as the Terai belt of Lumbini Province.
Tonight, cloudy skies are expected over Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with the hilly regions nationwide, while the rest of the country will see partly cloudy conditions. Moderate rain is likely in Madhesh Province and the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki, with a chance of heavy rainfall at one or two locations in Madhesh and the hilly regions of Koshi and Bagmati.
The monsoon's low-pressure line remains near its average position, while moisture-laden winds from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal continue to influence Nepal's weather, the DHM reported.
Kathmandu Valley
The Valley is expected to remain generally cloudy with occasional rain.
Daytime temperatures will hover between 25–27°C with a 60% chance of rain this afternoon, while nighttime temperatures are likely to drop to 19–21°C with a similar chance of showers.
