Heavy rainfall was recorded in the districts of Chitwan District, Gorkha District, and Udayapur District today, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

The department stated that Udayapur recorded the highest rainfall, measuring 82.2 millimeters within the past three hours.

Similarly, Gorkha recorded 80 millimeters of rainfall, while Chitwan recorded 60 millimeters.

The downpour was recorded in Katari of Udayapur and Barpak of Gorkha. Rainfall exceeding 50 millimeters within a 24-hour period is categorized as heavy rainfall.

The department also indicated that rainfall has been reported in several other districts.

Likewise, rainfall occurred in Lamjung District, Makawanpur District, Sindhupalchowk District, Sankhuwasabha District, Ilam District, Solukhumbu District, Mustang District, Bardiya District, and Kaski District.

Information Officer Dinkar Kayastha of the department said that the level of atmospheric pollution is likely to decline following today's rainfall.
