Hari Dhakal of the Hari Dhakal-led Rastriya Swatantra Party has secured victory in the House of Representatives elections in Nepal from Chitwan District Constituency No. 1.
According to the vote count completed on Saturday evening, Dhakal emerged victorious with 58,208 votes. His nearest rival, Rajendra Prasad Burlakoti of the Nepali Congress, secured 13,033 votes, according to the Office of the Returning Officer.
Similarly, Dawa Dorjee Lama of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) obtained 10,899 votes, while Krishna Panta of the Nepal Communist Party received 4,081 votes.
Dhakal has been re-elected from the same constituency.
Out of a total of 149,641 registered voters, 96,154 cast their ballots in the HoR election held on March 5 in Chitwan Constituency No. 1.
