Ananda Bahadur Chand, a candidate of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has been elected to the House of Representatives elections in Nepal from Kailali District Constituency No. 5.
According to Chief Returning Officer Bhuwan Singh Thapa, Chand secured victory with 31,953 votes. He defeated Narnarayan Shah of the Nepali Congress, who garnered 11,958 votes.
Similarly, Prem Bahadur Ale of the Nepal Communist Party received 7,876 votes, followed by Yagyaraj Dhungana of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) with 5,839 votes.
Out of a total of 110,539 registered voters, 65,752 cast their ballots in the election held on March 5.
