GAIGHAT: Two youths were arrested on the charge of attempted rape from Triyuga Municipality of Udaypur on Monday.

The arrestees have been identified as Sachin Pariyar and Dipen Pariyar of the locality.

The alleged were held with the help of locals while the duo were dragging a girl in an attempt to rape her, said District Police Office Udaypur DSP Om Rana Magar.

“Investigation into the incident is under way,” he said.
