Safe helmet campaign in Chitwan

CHITWAN: The Chitwan District Traffic Office has put in place a campaign to seize unsafe helmets.

The traffic police came up with the campaign to reduce fatal motorbike accidents caused due to failure to put on safe helmets. Under the campaign that began two days ago, police have seized 160 helmets so far.

According to Chitwan Traffic Police Chief, Inspector Rajan Bhetwal, the campaign is in place to control the use of unsafe helmets for the security of the bike users.

Meanwhile, the traffic police on Friday took action against 180 drivers for breaching traffic rules.
