Rupandehi, September 9:

The Butwal-Tansen section of Siddartha Highway has remained closed from the past four days after a landslide on Chure hill damaged the road near Siddha Baba Dham in Dobhan VDC of Palpa.

Samuel Lama and Jamesh Tamang, who walked through the damaged portion of the road said, “Landslides have blocked the Mahendra Highway at Daunney and Bhootkhola of Nawalparasi district and passengers had to walk long distances,” they said.

DSP Basant Thapa at the Western Region Traffic Police Office said there are landslides at different places on the highway.
