Hiking and tourism festival in Beni

GALESHWOR: A hiking and tourism festival is going to be held at Musung of Beni Municipality-3 in Myagdi district from January 10 next year.

The week-long festival will be organised by local Swargashram Youth Club in association with various local organisations with an objective of promoting Swargashram and Beldhunga, tourist spots in the district that were awaiting promotion and preservation.

According to the organising committee's Publicity Coordinator Kamal Pun, discussions would be held regarding tourism promotion of other prospective tourist destinations in the district such as Swargasharam, Beldhunga and Bhamkili among others.

The festival with the slogan 'Preservation of local art and culture - Maghe Sankranti Festival Tourism Promotion' will also hold musical events where various famous artists will participate.

Furthermore, a hiking would be organised on January 13 in view of promoting Visit Myagdi Year, shared Club President Bhim Pun.
