'Himalayan Tiger' roaring in Qatar to promote Nepal

QATAR: The first professional wrestler of the country, Bharat Bahadur Bisural, popularly known as the 'Himalayan Tiger' is currently in Qatar, persuading foreigners to visit Nepal.

The Tiger, who is also the Goodwill Ambassador of the Nepal Tourism Board, is going to greater length to convince the foreigners that Nepal is still a safe destination to travel in the aftermath of the April 25 earthquake.

According to Bisural, he is busy in consultation with the Nepali diasporas in Qatar, including the officials in the Nepali Embassy in Qatar, Non-Resident Nepalis representatives, entrepreneurs and journalists, so as to run feasibility study for conducting wrestling match here.

The famed wrestler, who has performed in 44 different countries across the globe, including 11 years in the USA, urged the Nepalis in Qatar to contribute to the reconstruction of the quake-damaged historic monument- Dharahara.
