Hindu, Muslim, Sikh priests play Holi together

Nepalgunj, March 23

Minister of State for Drinking Water and Sanitation Dinesh Chandra Yadav has said that the festival of Holi that promotes social harmony, fraternity and reconciliation should be accepted by all with the same spirit.

Speaking at a programme ‘Holi gathering for social harmony and goodwill’ organised here yesterday, Minister of State Yadav said every religion gives the message of humanity and the message should be put into practice.

Chief Judge at Appellate Court Nepalgunj, Bam Bahadur Shrestha, Chairperson of Appellate Bar Bal Bahadur Chand and Local Peace Committee Coordinator Tej Bikram Shahi said the Holi gathering event was an important milestone of social harmony.

On the occasion, Chief priest of Bageswari temple Chandra Nath Yogi, Muslim guru Maulana Adbul Jabbar Manjari and Sikh guru Raju Singh Sardar played Holi together.
