The Holi festival or Fagu Purnima is being celebrated in the Tarai region today.

This festival of colors, reflecting mutual harmony and happiness, is a symbol of victory of good over evil.

This festival, which is celebrated over two days, was observed yesterday in the hilly districts and is being celebrated in the Madhes districts today.

The Government has declared a public holiday in the Tarai districts to celebrate this festival, while the hilly regions including the capital city were given public holidays yesterday.
