BHADRAPUR, JHAPA: Police in Jhapa on Tuesday publicised a man arrested on charge of forcing three girls into sex trade amid a press conference.

Acting on a complaint filed by the three victims, owner of the 'A One Hotel and Lodge' in Arjundhara Municipality-11 of Jhapa, Raj Kumar Sitaula was arrested, said the police.

Sitaula forced the girls into sexual activities, and also took their earnings worth Rs 400,000, the complaint said. The victims alleged that Sitaula had been keeping hold of them in the hotel room and forced them operate on sex arrangements made with customers in different hotels and lodges.

A case has been filed against Sitaula under the human trafficking and transportation control act, informed the Anarmani based-Area Police Office.
