House Regulations at final stage

Kathmandu, September 22:

A taskforce comprising members of the Constituent Assembly (CA) has almost finalised the regulations of the Parliament.

The taskforce has proposed eight subject committees and two special committees in the Parliament.

According to Agni Kharel, a member of the 50-member taskforce led by Narayanman Bijuckchhe, they would give final touches to the draft regulations tomorrow.

The panel is also preparing Constituent Assembly Regulations, which will set procedures of drafting the constitution.

Both the regulations will be passed by the full House once they are finalised.

Meanwhile, Indian ambassador to Nepal Rakesh Sood today handed over five 32-seater Eicher buses worth over Rs 5.5 million to chairman of the Constituent Assembly Subas Chandra Nembang to facilitate the movement of CA members.
