Flooding Rapti river on Tuesday swept away Sunachuri Kanchha’s house at Manhari VDC-6 at Ramauli of western Makwanpur. A local Ashok Lama said the family is taking shelter at a relative’s house since then. He added that flood triggered by incessant rain has damaged a dam as well as six bighas of cultivable land situated in ward number 5, Pratappur, and ward number 6, Ramauli. The dam was constructed at the locals’ initiatives.
