Tanahun, June 25:

Hundreds of people in Tanahun district have fallen sick after consuming anti-elephantiasis (filariasis) medicines on June 23 and June 24 administered by the District Public Health Office.

The people who had taken the medicines complained of feeling dizzy, headache and diarrhoea.

Manoj Khanal of Byas Municipality-3 Poltyangtar said he felt dizzy and had a headache immediately after he took the anti-elephantiasis medicine.

Shivhari Dhital of Byas Municipality-2 said he is suffering from diarrhoea after he took the medicine.

Many others with similar symptoms have been visiting the drug stores.
